Craaaaaap.

I can never seem to stick to doing one thing at a time, whenever it comes to my weekend breaks.

Come to think of it, I never really did one thing, but so many things at once. oWo

This weekend I rearranged my music, add new ones to my computer from my hard disk, skimmed through a handful of Times magazine issues, read a few paragraphs from two different books, separated recyclables from a stack collecting dust (which I've yet to deposit to the recycling bin), played Starcraft but stopped halfway (was doing well, mind you), went through some of my other games but stopped halfway, almost drew Shinji (as you can tell, I almost completed it - it's now missing a head lol), scanned a few pictures from a stack that I wanted to have scanned (but - you guessed it - STOPPED halfway) and watched a few scenes off Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0. And stopped halfway DDD:

I'm mighty distracted, unfocused. The only time I have calm is probably when I sleep. Which is a dang, as in, I should have more stone time instead of having voices in my head scurry about. Time where I just sit and stare and let my thoughts empty out. Not to forget, the bloody cough. It's like a three-inch hurdle, just there to really annoy the pants out of you.

In random notes, I've really begun to appreciate how tea tastes as it is - hot water, no sugar, no cream milk, no strawberry slices, just the tea bag. Since bringing in sugar to camp is a no-no, I've been drinking my tea without adding sugar to it. Or, what I largely suspect, I am just too lazy to reach for the sugar container (which isn't that far actually).

Sometimes it's interesting what you can learn about yourself. The things you do, they speak so much of yourself. And you don't realize it, but others do. You don't fake up a facade, you're just being yourself.

After this long BMT journey, it's nice to know that other people really do appreciate the effort you put in for the team. And I think that's the most rewarding thing.

I'm down with running nose and a slight feverish feel. Not to forget the cough too. Everyone is falling sick, dayum T.T

I'm still here and I'm still around. I haven't been updating much as of recent months due to the whole Dang NS Thing. Weekends are a little longer than those in other companies but I find myself tired out to do anything at all except rest.

There's that feeling of growing. Older, not sure. Maybe a little bit wiser.

The feeling of stepping up to an adult. Maybe I am changing.

Will I lose myself? Be completely different?

I know I can't. I know I'm stubborn. But I know that maybe that rough image of me is smoothing out. But the little bits of me, the little bits which made me who I am, they shall remain. No matter the test of time.

Field camp done. Hope to pass IPPT. And do well in the last few remaining sections.

Chest infection

More accurately, some infection on the lungs. Viral.

It causes high fevers in its initial stage, which fluctuates by the day. It is highest at nights, lowest during daytime.

It is accompanied by coughs, nausea and vomiting, diarrhoea and flu.

At most it will last for two weeks.

There is no other way to have the infection cleared quickly, other than to ride it out.

Well, that's what basically happened to me.

And really, the fluctuating fever part. It's enough to drive anyone crazy.

Right now my temperature's bouncing around the 37 degrees Celsius range. Still quite okay I guess.

I can walk better now. My energy levels are better than the day before. My appetite's returning.

I hope the disease goes away quickly.

I really should ease down on my gung-ho-ness.

1. During a Standing Broad Jump test, I miscalculated (I blame the rolled up mats and the fact that the mats were placed in a slight elevated ground - it was just a footstep higher but it's enough) and flew instead of jumping forward. That also means that I didn't land properly; fell face down, hurt my knee and elbows. Nothing major except for a scar on my right elbow. Healing well.

2. Right after a combat physical training exercise at the field (an actual field with grass and dirt and whatever), we were instructed to wash up quickly to prepare for the next physical exercise. Having rolled around on grass, you'd want to at least wash off whatever you can, right? So I did, however there weren't enough shower stalls in the bath area, so I went to the pipes for the pails and stuff. It was okay except that when I stood, I forgot there's the tap behind me, so I now have quite the scar on my back. Healed by now, but for the rest of the first two weeks people have been asking "What happened to your back?!"

I guess it wouldn't be nice if I just suddenly made a short post, do I?

I'm heading of to NS (National Service for my non-local friends) this coming Monday. Total one and a half years gone; within that, two weeks of camp confinement, and about 11 weeks after of just pure training before I am placed to a vocation depending on how well I perform during the training & confinement period.

I really really hope I can get to the medical section, lol.

Will post properly sometime soon.

Well. I have a temporary job. For some certain reasons I've decided to pick the job. It's typical office work, down at Bukit Merah. Damn far but it's a direct path from home.. sorta. Enjoy the city sights while taking the bus, which is a long ride but still enjoyable.

Pay is acceptable and the people there are fine. There happens to be a few new people there two, by the stretch of the months. One of them was a polytechnic graduate, and of the same year as I was born. I haven't got the chance to ask the birthdate but I've a feeling I'm the younger between the other.

So once again, the youngest of the group. Haha.

Will work till next Friday.

Narisya is also busy herself, with her work at the MAGE animanga shop. I come down occasionally to help out and stuff. It's at Eastpoint, Simei. Reason I'm saying this is because we have a lot of inventory to clear off so if you want to buy anyyyyyyyyything please let either of us know 8D there are a number of really good posters though I'm not too sure on which anime/manga series they are of. There's a good bunch of other accessories too so please please let us know. We get to clear stock, you get your animanga goodie. 8D

Well I should get a move on soon, head to work. Oh, got the work from my St John senior officer, whose brother is the person I'm working for. Haha.

Hmm. Wonder if I should join in the Walkathon event.. which is one day before enlistment. Haha. Though it's all the walking and all and I'll be fasting, I was thinking of heading down.. to support those Muslim cadets who might be present? Fasting powah 8D!! Right.

It would also be the last event for St Johns I'll be helping before enlistment.

Or I might just take the day off and slack. Haha.

And yes. Fasting began this week's Monday. Fasting today. Kinda fun.

Days are slow yet they pass quickly. Weather's been quite funny. Mostly rain, in different phases. Sometimes it's really heavy rain, pouring for hours. Sometimes it's just a short drizzle before the clouds gather.. to not cause a downpour, but drizzle some more..

It's hot now with a lot of sun and large columbonimbus in the far distance. Looks like it might rain this evening though I'm not sure. I hope it doesn't. I wanna cycle T_T I miss cycling.

I like my current alarm which sings Hikki's Beautiful World but I'm thoroughly annoyed that the alarm shuts itself off within a minute automatically. And to add to the fact that my body always learns how to shut off alarms subconsciously, even when I'm still asleep.

I shall explain this in a blog post. xD

Basically it's some toe infection thing.. to the skin. It becomes all wrinkly and stuff.. which is weird. It doesn't even itch or anything. And it happened wayyy back. But just so happens that on the month back I think, it started to peel. And couple weeks back, it got.. swollen.. and bad. Hence the minor bandage.

I used some dermatology gel cream thing to ease it off.. now in it's current condition? Swelling gone, but skin wrinkly at affected toes. I don't think you wanna see =X

But it's all fine, so it's okay. Thanks for the concern guys (:

A few more episodes off Season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've been catching up on old episodes D:

This coming weekend I'm gonna start the job hunt thing. Might as well I guess.

Day 00: Good morning Tokyo

Parted with the fam sometime around 6.30-ish. By then everyone was more or less ready to check in the luggage.

So we did the ordinary thing, of checking in the luggage, a briefing by the tour group representative, and boarding the flight. Took the plane where it went over to KL first before heading straight to Tokyo.

It was all new to me.. I've never been on a flight before.

And now that I am, it makes me wonder what will happen.. if I had a real gundam and was piloting it. My ears, ouch.

Do you know how amazing it is? Taking flight? It was all new to me and I was just. So. Awed. It feels amazing to be in the air, when I keep thinking that above, below, to my left and right are just empty space. How awesome it is to be in the air.. and the dangerous feeling that if the walls just gave way, you'd be in the air.

Heh okay, don't blame me. First time flying.

I happened to not sit with Love, which made the flight very boring. I wasn't even near any of the other Seniors in the trip - they're all the way at the back (okay, about five seats back) and Love and Farma were at the other corner. At least the juniors beside me were okay (And later in the trip I got to know that dude-beside-me is an Eva fan. I shouldave known, since the first movie he switched to was the Gundam one).

For the first part of the night, I went to watch Sky of Love.

The girl losts her phone, and when she traces it back to where she left it, she began receiving strange calls from a dude which eventually evolves to a relationship, however (spoiler alert) the boy suddenly breaks off, confuzzling the girl, but they later reconcile when she discovers of a developing cancer in the dude and the girl realizes that she really cares and love the dude no matter what (end spoiler alert).

I guess if you want something a little sappy then yeah, go see the movie. It's nice and worth a watch.

After the movie.. listened to the radio preload tracks off the plane and heard Utada Hikaru's new single HEART STATION.

It is AWESOME. I HAS THE SINGLE. YAYNESS.

And then.. brief sleep.. which, followed by Love sneaking over to my side of the plane/me sneaking over to her side of the plane/heading to the loo which causes awesome weird sucking flush of the toilet seat. And breakfast and..

Tokyo.

Next: Day 01, shrine visit, amazing hotels and the coooooooold cooooold weather

What a lousy update

I've been hit.. with slight fever.

It was horrible!! To wake up in the middle of the night, and UNEXPECTEDLY you feel that burning rash and a soreness at the back of the throat.

Please forgive me.. T_T

.. for the delay in the major update of the Japan trip.

It's really awesome. Japan, the food, the people, the weather (though it rained a few days and it got frickin' cold due to the strong winds).

In fact, there's a lot of firsts experiences for me, such as the plane ride. Pressure thingy in ears hurts a lot. I felt like my cerebellum might bleed.

In fact, during the night of the flight, while daybreak was about five hours away, I wrote a little blog-post thing on how it goes.. and how bored I was during the flight. I was new and all and I wasn't sitting with Love.. which, I should have checked in the luggage together with her. Hm.

Well.. I shall update properly.. soon..

Now to stone. Cause I'm sick of sleeping.

Why why is it a closed-book exam? I see no point.

What matters is the application and justification to case scenarios. And all.

But then again.. if you have the notes, you'd just pwn the MCQ section very easily.

In fact. Looking at the past-year paper thing, it really looks like an extraction off the lecture notes.

.. maybe there's sense to the whole closed-book thing.

But no. I still think it should be open book.

Just cause it's easier. Heh.

I've been very busy. Mainly spring-cleaning stuff. Clearing out all the AOB's and all that.

I just can't believe that two weeks just passed by.

I am getting real lazy with the updates.

.. hence I shall do a really dumb post - a recount post.

Well let's see..

Woke up at near-seven. Felt the daze, and the sun almost shined through the windows and to me, lolz. Hallelujah chaansu bright-shiney-lighty thingy, anyone?

I have absolutely no idea what to wear, so I grabbed the Power 98 shirt. I'm running out of clothes combination. Though I really really am addicted to the tie.

Left home around eight? Yeah. I was late. As usual. > <;; Oh, I didn't get to poo in the morning, cause the feeling didn't come. Oh also, I didn't have time to have my first breakfast. Which usually makes me poo. So anyways. Took the bus to Bedok Reservoir. It's a nice calm day; it's lovely to share the walk with a special someone. It was pretty cool and the weather was awesome. No bright killa sun to bring in the sweat. And my tummy was hungry. Come near 8.45am-ish, headed to the MP lab. Set up the stage for modeling my 3D character, Janica. Really, I prefer her previous name, Yeve. I think it awesome rocks. Better than Janica. But I guess names don't really matter, but I still like Yeve. No modelling as of yet. Love, thank you for the cakes <3~

Lunch around 11.00 at Long John's. There's a new meal order for some sort of spicy chicken thing. It's moderately spicy, so it should be bearable for the average Singaporean. If you can't bear with it, it's okay, since it's okay too to be a not-so-average Singaporean. Oh, the meal costs $4.50 altogether, with fries and a drink. Did I mention three chicken patty-pieces? Yes three chicken patty-pieces.

Headed back to the MP lab to (really) begin on 3D modeling. Covered the torso, head and left arm, in brief. Found out a way to model the hair, and I hope to cover the hair sometime soon. It's difficult to model the chest of a lady character. Gotta get the proportions right. Hope to complete the main body parts next time on the modeling.

Headed off to the Lucas Studios talk thing around 6.30-ish? Yeah. I find it kinda cool that their only other studio aside from main branch California, is in Singapore. Kinda cool. I might consider the place after NS.

Escorted the lady to her home and left for home. Waited for the bloody bus for near half an hour. Makes me wonder what them organizers are doing to the schedule. Headed to Mac's to grab dinner for brother and myself. If you know me well I ordered something else aside from the usual burger. It was a takeaway, by the way.

Headed home finally, around nine? Maybe. Dinner was quick, and I'm danged that there's still no fruits in the fridge. I'm longing for an apple. Apples are good. Shinigami love to eat apples.

And now, here. To blog for my dear blog-readers, but I don't think many ready my rambles except for a select few. Haha.

I've no idea what to do later. I guess I should do something about the Principles of Marketing research thing. Ready the source files.

Is it me or the service standards in Singapore have dropped a significant amount in recent times?

What they say about the falling standards, it's really apparent. Restaurant service is very disappointing in the area.

Which kind of place makes you request for the bill three times? Which place has untrained staff to take up staff positions? Which place makes you wait for a long time before settling to a table, and you can see distinctively that some of the staff are idling (they walked around as if they have something to do - right. Body language tells all).

I recovered a few days after the previous post. I think falling ill was due to me running in the rain a couple of nights before. lol, don't ask me why I was running, I just had to. xD;;

Had been busy with St Johns events the past few weekends. It's leaving me shagged out. I need lots of stoning time and secret trips to the moon. But you can't get it ALL the time, but, at least make do with what you have currently, right? And I'm sure, there'd be more in the times to come.

I think my drawing kick is coming back.

Maybe not many people know this, but my dad is supposedly good in art. Haha.

I'm not doubting him cause he does have Teh Leet Artz Skillz but I've never seen his real art so far. Like, in his primary school or so.

Which side of the Moon do you like most?

I think most people would go with the full moon. I know I do. There's something hauntingly beautiful about a full moon. The black new moon is darker than the dark, it's scary itself. Just symbolic but it brings what powerful impact already.

Anyways.

Someone told me that she love half-moons best.

I wasn't sure why, cause I find the full moon beautiful, in full glory. I inquired.

The waxing moon, like the halves of both the dark and light. It is ever waxing, like the traveler down the road of twilight to dawn.

You see, it's symbolic. And it already brings a potent message, a powerful symbolism.

I saw in her light, and I agreed too.

I've no idea what to blog, actually.

I feel pretty good.

I guess only a few people know why (with God knowing best).

But after Friday, I have a number of things to cover. Hmm. St Johns stuff. I feel like I've been given a second chance.

Second chances don't come often.

And then there's the report... which, I have yet to make a proper start.

Since tomorrow (or rather today, at point of typing) would be the final day, I guess there wouldn't be much in need to do. Might as well do the report tomorrow, while in the workplace. It has been a nice experience, truly. But I doubt I would be going back.

I remembered what Sabirah mentioned quite some time back, early in the internship. And yeah, I pretty much agree on it. Though I changed my mind sometime after.. after the months, you can just see it. It's there, but the thing is, people barely notice it, and only affected parties feel the difference. Yeah..

I guess I shall leave it to here.

Been exercising lately. And it's awesome! Running, cycling, hopefully swimming for me soon. Damn, just go get those swimming trunks, Farhan >3

I feel supercharged, ready for that damned fitness test. Hopefully I can do something about the pull-ups. I know I can't do pull-ups. I think in a rare circumstance, 2, but meh, I need a what, eight? Ten? TEN. Whooo.

I wonder if we can run the 2.4 km run with music. It's seriously helping me a great heap. Cause, I find the concept of just simply running around the track again and again absolutely monotonous.

And in my last run, I would have made a just-pass for the run. Which, is not good to make the cut. Need a faster record, need to set sights for the silver.

All this exercise is making me feel good, man. But the sores are like a coin; have them to feel the pride in achievement, but, they're still sores. You know?

I just don't want to slack off after the test. Wanna maintain this for the long run!

And of course. I think a great deal of it is that there's good company to do the exercise with (:

Blogging at the fingertips, ftw

If you've noticed, my previous posts have a second post title tag.

I just fitted the automated script to display post titles. ~~Yes I've been a ninkompoop and pasted the titles in my blog posts every time.~~

Might take a while to edit my posts so that they go display proper. But then again I might just not do anything about it, haha.

So earlier in the day there was a cosfest thingy. It wasn't as hype as the previous year though, but I got a few decent pictures, and the cosplay's still at it's okay stage.

Speaking of pictures, I've come to realize the pictures I've taken are only half as decent as I thought they would be. Taken by my shaky hands, they are quite terrible, and it's the first time I previewed the pictures I've taken from my handphone.

And, I've come to realize that I like to blog, but I don't really have the time to compile a post at the end of the day. Like for now, there's a ton of stuff that's great from the Cosplay event, but I can't bear putting one picture at a time to have the pictures posted. Dang.

The power of blogging at my fingertips. It's actually (almost) there, just not that up to the Bankai level yet. If it were, this place's at the floods.

So anyways.

Cosplay event was cool enough. As usual there was Cloud. Three Clouds, in fact. I couldn't identify most of others specifically, but they were all familiar themes. Took tons of pictures but most are not that good.

Also, there's a Yuna cosplayer who looked a lot like my junior in St Johns. Hahahha.

All these cosplay is really interesting.

The concept of dress-up, and to be IN character. There's one thing to get the suit, make-up and the lot, but to be in character? Another different dimension. I noticed a few cosplayers who're there "just for the heck of it and to look 'cool'". Which happens to be off-character and totally not nice.

But I would commend the real cosplayers though. They did a good job. As said it's one thing to be in the suit, but can you really act the part of the sheep?

Randomness: Zombie sheep movie, it's either making me laugh out loud or... not. And go eeeeee *takes shotgun and shoots*.

Also it's another interesting concept that cosplays plays a part of our childhood, of make-believing. Maybe it's over a different scale and dimension, where we act out the part ourselves, but doesn't it make you wanna be a superhero for that one bit and wear weird clothes for once and have people wanna take your picture instead of them wanna give you strange looks? Unless you're a kid. Which, in cosplay, is like a big grown-up's make-believe, only more in-character.

Okay, not adults, more of adolescents.

Right. Maybe if I find a different way to put pictures up, I'll post the good ones. Maybe I should try Bogger's Hello and Picasa again. But I've ~~still~~ not reformatted my computer.

Right. Sorry for the delays. A few things to jot down as a little reflections thingy.

1. Indonesia passing the Bill which allows farmers to Hack-and-Slash for farm land

I probably should not comment about this. But I'm just thinking of this when I heard this over the news:

Okay, I don't mean to discriminate in any way. But really, wtf. More fire -> Smoke -> Haze thingy -> unclean air -> plants can't breathe well -> ecosystems affected -> bears won't be happy.

2. So many Games Day

Recently there was a St Johns Zone Games Day. Let's say it was pretty fun for the instructor team to go against the cadets. Uhm. Yeah. *snigger*. Uhm. Haha.

But seriously, it was neat fun. Getting together, just to play a few games. It was fun. And I get to see my kids again, which is always a plus. And at the end of it, Eric drove me back. He had to pick his dad but got lost. Haha. We met with his dad eventually and we headed back.

Eric's like, two blocks away from me man. Haha.

Right just now, there was a little Games Day for my attachment company. Not much of an involvement for me but it was fun seeing my department team play. Wee Leong is damn fierce in soccer. Hahahaha.

3. Pants? Runs?

I need new pants. Cause either they're too long or too short. The short ones don't fit my waist, for some reason. I'm still bones.

Oh, and I should start running soon. Maybe today. After dawn prayers.

4. Keep-fit

Exercises as per regular. I should keep up to it.

Ahh whatever. It's really good. Though I wanna watch the transformation sequences again. And again.

I think I'll catch the coming Potter movie. Just mainly because of Padfoot and Moony. But still, will watch it. Hopefully.

You see... when I was listening to this song (it's a video here, but it'll let you hear to the full song), I had a few images in my mind.

Probably am gonna sound corny, but - me standing in front of that someone, just staring deep into her eyes. She was smiling. It was at the coast, at the pier, and the sun was shedding it's strongest of orange before making way to the violet before curtain call. And then, embracing her, feeling her closeness, the sounds of the everywhere around us, and just thinking that everything is beautiful, God made everything beautiful. Just beautiful. And here we people are, running around like fools, when all that is just right is right next to us. And in all this fabricated reality we have made we missed out the simple things which makes things simply beautiful in its own way.

Hun, where's your email?

Ever had that moment where you had success go right to your head for a little longer than neccessary?

It was an achievement, but of course I was dizzy in the air of pride for too long. Said something stupid.

For a while I was thinking it might bring a negative. Some things you just don't wish for, might just come true. But then, I just hope they don't take my comment seriously.

If the topic comes about again, I shall apologise.

Right now, I just have to let go. It's a matter to think of, but there're other matters which are more critical.

Quality over quantity? I guess. But even so Kahhyee made me do one hundred push-ups. I died at seventy, hahaha.

Am gonna try the quality bit, it's what I'm accustomed to for now. But of course I'll increase the numbers as I go along.

The last time I checked my weight, it was still a 55 kg since maybe, secondary school. I just checked my weight. 57 1/2 kg. Gained two and a half kilos, man. Hahahaha.

I'm quitting snacking already.

Okay. This is ridiculous.

For some reason, I'm uberly pissed off.

Wait. All of a sudden, a jar of thought came and maybe, it's not such a big deal after all.

This is the weirdest, and most utterly stupid situation to be angry about.

I miss seeing your name (and only your name - edited msn settings) pop up at the corner of the screen.

I miss saying "heya" and "yo" and "boo!" and "hey yo" and put our favourite smiley at the end of that after every greeting. And a glomp afterwards.

I miss being with you. Though we're eleven thousand miles apart.

I miss having random conversations with you. Heck, you taught me randomness. YOU. You taught me that.

I miss talking of the things we would could want to do when we get together.

I miss hearing your rants, cause I know of all the peoples around you just won't rant. Except maybe to me.

I miss saying (and hearing) the three words to (from) you. Even though they're put on the computer screen.

I miss your fangirlness of P!ATD and whatever punk bank name thingy. Even though I don't exactly like them lah. But I still miss it, cause you're always kind to what I feel.

I miss talking of our random characters like the cookies, the eleven cupboards, Steve the Badger, pandas, and lots of things.

I miss talking to you about music. Like, while we have our differences in the tastes we share a vast common ground. Like all our chats of BoA. Utada. Creed. And lots.

So. Major project's coming.

My close friends in a group together, it'll be hard for us to figure a project due to the different options we take. And now the other guy's probably in a different group..

I'm called for in a different group. Quite frankly I'm afraid.

You see, Nat and Boon, I'm afraid. Cause I know myself - and I really would rather be with Kel and Vin. Cause mainly I easily syncronize with the moods and attitudes of those around me.

Boon, take the case of our WAD group. I know, not being boastful or anything, but I know that if I put in a bit more effort, I can change the group to at least avoid the supp paper. At least perhaps get a pass.

But okay. Everyone was slacking. So in the end I slacked too. I was tired anyways. So in the end, we became supp paper peeps. Let's not bring up the case of Cheryl and her WAD paper avoidance (off-topic, lol).

So anyways. Yeah... I'm not meaning that you guys suck (lol.. darn... okay, I know you know I mean no insult here), it's just that, if you guys start slacking, I'll slack too. Quite definitely. So I'm afraid. Cause I do need my push forward time and again. (I do need my proper recharge too, but that's another topic).

So. Yeah. That's what I am apprehensive of.

However.

I know that if the team is positive and on the good jog, I'll be too.

Nat, remember the time in the CMSK group? Everyone was on right-track mind. Everyone did their part. I'm easily motivated that way. Good atmosphere, good attitude.

So yes. I believe I can help bring this project to a good end. And let's face it. It's do or die. I don't wanna die. Momma is with me!! Okay, random.

Thing is, I'll need YOUR help, Boon & Nat. Help me keep to right track. Boon, to be honest the WAD experience is really terrible for me. I know I didn't do anything when in actual fact I could. I still feel a little guilty about it.

Yeah. So, that's one condition about it - help me keep on the right attitude. Give me time to oil my gears. Give me a little push from now and then. Cause I don't wanna die.

Then there's a second condition. Well, not really. It's just that, let's do a proper and GOOD project this time eh? I think we're easily affected by each other's moods and stuff. So if we're facing the cookie positively, we should do fine. Let's work to something WE can be proud of! :D

Yeah. I really want this to be in my portfolio. And hopefully it'll be something good for your portfolio too. So let's gotta go kung-fu fighting *fwaah*
