you lose some, you win some...

okay. so what did i lose? my practicals. yeah. i hoope i don't lose my prelim papers. then i'll lose my insanity. following that, my o-levels. God... haha. anyway, 'nuff said abt this.

so, ur wondering what did i win? hehe...

okay. on fridae i played buffy ccg (collectible card game, for those non-gamers out there) against hafiz. it was my angel vs his oz. and i kick ass! so... swith decks! so it was my oz vs his angel... and i still kick ass! guess i haven't lost my buffy ccg wrench! hahaz.

on sat, i met nas, boo, and ali to play Aliens vs Predator II. it was a great game! i did superb! ali is great! nasir did well! boo got his share of victory! but playing the game, i took notice of a few techniques. for

alien: -DO NOT POUNCE!!! the first who pounces first will die easy!!! if you DO want to pounce, then take note: make sure your slashing action lands squarely on the target. because, just before you pounce, you'll raise your arms, which puts you in a vurnerable position. just approach, and keep clawing.

-when the opponent pounces on you, initiate your pounce when it is about six or seven yards away (about the range of a pounce with no angle). you'll see your enemy rip easy!!! hahaz. whatever it is, wait until your alienopponent has pounced before you do (and beware of backstabbers when you do this).

-whenever you use pounce, always remember angle works (i already know this, just sharing it with you guys here)! you're a flying cannonball! and remember, the xenomorph is one which instills fear cos its pure sneaky!!! the fear factor works! also, it doesn't hurt to know all the secret vents and hidden blond spots of a map! the key word: fear!!!!!

human: -i didn't learn much, but there's safety in numbers. also, stick to those bright environments. unless it's suicide you're thinking, the hive or a certain dark corner will do.

-the motion tracker is your best friend. in bright or dark environments.

predator: because the game i played only has four players, my techniques are a bit restricted. here they are anyway...

-team co-operate. a must especially against tose pesky face-huggers. watch each other's back, and keep cycling vision.

-when you spot that face hugger, your best bet is the plasmacaster or the plasma pistol. but the real deal is timing your shots, because they're energy weapons, and will deplete your energy reserves.

-when an alien is flying towards you because of its pounce attack, fire your plasma pistol just before it reaches you, and then side-step. when it's stuned, fire away! just remember its an energy weapon. you can use this technique twice in a go.

personalities!...

all of us are different because our character sets us apart from the next person. it is ordinary for people to ally themselves to those who's mind are of the same frequency. so, what defines this frequency? what determines the colours of our personality? well, one way is through the things we do.

for example, everyone can walk; well, almost everyone can. we all do it differently, however most of the time we copy the way other people walk without knowing about this in such a way that one needs to scrutinise to find such minor differences. without apparent realization we imitate the actions of others.

however there is an aspect of ourselves we rather not change due to personal preferences. it is these preferences which can give away clues to our true character. one example is the music we listen. our preference of music is defined subconsciouly, where we decide for ourselves what we want to listen. also, music is something of the free mind to comprehend and accept on its own will.

therefore, if you have a liking in the way the singer sings, or the way the instruments blend the melodies together or simply the way the musician strums his guitar, you will feel an attachment to the song, albeit it is an unpopular piece of music. you will like the song. furthermore, it is this attachment which gives the person the 'defined colours of personality'. the individual's opinion of the piece of music will not be easily swayed by the thoughts of other people.

why am i going through all this?

well, when i first listened to maroon 5, i thought that the songs are okay; catchy beat, the slightly raspy voice, it was pretty cool. then, recently the song 'she will be loved' played on radio and it got me crazy up to the point where i keep thinking about the song, savouring the moment every time it plays on radio. now that i have borrowed the album, 'songs about jane', i feel that, if i were a slightly different person in character, i would have loved the tracks within the album.

i took my time to listen to the album, and now, i realised why a friend of mine likes maroon 5's music so much.

ello ello

yesterdae was aces day, in collaberation with teacher's day celebration

the walk in bedok reservoir was boring, uneventful

just look at it, its just walking, and nothing else

the periods in between teacher's day concert and the walk was uneventful as well

i was just sitting there letting time pass

and mr. lee was there to slack with us as well

haha

okay

a really slow pace

i dun wanna criticise any of the performing groups, but...

maybe next year, there would be a new kid who can dance like the real Justin Timberlake.

i was roaming around the bedok interchange with the new shirt which says : no CLASS, not PERFECT, just POWER, with red hot radio, power 98 at the back

i pass through the crowd without any worries

then, i saw the AvP poster, and decided to watch it

i gotta watch it anyway, right? haha

i find it spectacular, really good

except it's really short!

like, one and a half hours!!!

but i really enjoyed the fighting scenes

the Xenomorph against the Predator!

the queen running, and i was thinking, t rex!

and the Predalien at the end of the movie is a real mystery

anyway, here i am, blogging

tomorrow, another day in school
