dvd dilemma

dvd dilemma

so i spent the day sleeping cos i slept late last-err, this morning, playing Battlefield 1942.

i humbly vow to have an early night tonight. and by early i mean sometime around midnight-one tops the hour.

i missed morning prayers. damn. must not repeat the mistake.

i'm enjoying myself with the dvd player my dad bought. so far, i've watched harry potter ser. II, terminator iii and the bourne supremacy.

i have fifty bucks in my wallet now(as in figuratively, of course). and it's the money from my sonic comics collection. i know jeremy has a better chance of collecting such comics. there 'aint a shop nearby my place which still sells sonic comics.

i've always given thought of how i should use my fifty bucks. so far i've been saving it so that i can use it when i really want to. now seems like a good time.

i was thinking of spending the money on dvds, but a thousand choices ran through my mind, like the bullet through flesh and bone. fast, painful, and confusing.

i didn't know what i wanted to buy. there's matrix revolutions, underworld, the bourne identity, aliens VS predator, not to mention, evangelion dvd, provided i can find them.

there's simply too many choices. but just recently, i came across something of my interest.

i was surfing the evanescence website by chance, and i stumbled across the evanescence dvd set. it comes with the unreleased track missing.

yeah... so i think i pretty much figured out what to buy.

but there's the deal about the twenty-bucks AvP II Gold edition... simply adds on to my dilemma.

anyway, it's late, so i better be going.

OH MY GOD.

sjab zone 1 guys are turning into late-nite gamers. that means cheekai, eric and yours truly.

battlefield 1942 is crappy to my internet connection, and dumb graphics cos of my medium-end graphics card. bah.

now we're starting avp II, but cheekai's com is lagging, and eric can't log in to play. how odd. and i'm doing fine by being the top Alien fragger by five to seven minutes. wicked!

wake island, here me and eric come!

i'm glad Van's better. she even put a big picture of a big smiley on her blog. haha.

terminator 3 was pretty spectacular. in the end, Judgement Day was unavoidable, but Connor lived. that's what matters most.

hey, did i mention my grandma and grandpa's staying in my house?! kinda nice actually. i'm no longer having solo breakfasts!

finally i can get to watch the stuff i wanted over in DVD.

gundam seed, the bourne supremacy, terminator 3... and lots more!

watched harry potter: chamber of secrets. wonderful animation, unlike the vcds. for obvious reasons. haha

however, uncle joe's bourne supremacy suckked. really vcd-quality.

damn. haha

and now cheekai's asking me about the download progress of battlefield earth(?). haha. might end up burning the night for the game. haha.

so, i'll start off with mine.

arrgghh, sian...

i was at the dinner room com, being a UN member(haha), and the TV at the living room was on. my parents were watching this malay show over on the Malaysian channel where the lead girl was brutally abused by her mother... sian. she scolded her and shouted at her, make her do the chores... so pitiful...

the lead girl tried to make the situation better by following the advice of her religious teacher. instead, things took for the worse... Lead Girl was beaten up... for adopting a cat. like what the hell?!

so what if she adopted the feline? it's not as if there's many mouths to feed for the family...

let's just say the father of Lead Girl left when she's just a year old...

stuff like his continued... until Lead Girl decided to run away. she left a note to her mom, who was not home yet, since she's out... clubbing. yeah.

lead girl ran to the house of her religious teacher. however, upon reaching the doorstep, she collapsed. religious teacher found her there just as she collapsed and her body tumbled, hitting the door. fainted, dunno what condition... she was sent to the hospital.

and her mom? jailed, in greif, as she discovered the note, and in deeper regret as she found out of her daughter's hospitailsation.

damn sad story... feeling very sian... haha.

and right before, there was the Twilight Zone. have u watched it before?

i dun like it. watched it before, but i had to see tonite's episode. cos Usher was on!!

he's not bad... haha :P

and yeah, like all Twilight Zone stories, there's a sadistic ending to it... demoralising... lol.

so now, pretty sianz? yups.

at least whatever 'online war' is calming down. that's a plus.

wz posted, asking the readers on what love means to him/her. i gave a reply in the tagboard, but honestly, i dun really know the answer yet... i think.

in where i have failed, my children shall succeed

all this nonsense is senseless.

online war, as mike puts it.

it won't do any good.

i agree with wen xun mdm. we are one zone. ZONE ONE. we have competed against each other during FA Com. FA com's over.

if you have won, you've won. if you have lost, you've lost. but if you think that you have won, it's in your hearts.

winning the trophy is not all-important. the true objective is that you had gone through Zone Com, and you have earned the experience from it.

from the faliures we experienced, we learn from the mistakes that we make. from there, we look forward to the future and start to build a path we want to take. a path where we won't make the same mistakes as we did in the past.

when i went to Zone Com on year 2004, i know that BG com team may not make it. it seems pessimistic, but that's just facts. Charles sir was guiding us. but he alone, though as committed he was in helping in, i think, 5 com teams, he can't teach us everything by himself. he has personal commitments. he has his own university work to complete. dear God, he's managing FIVE competition teams. one can only imagine the stress he's experiencing.

i went to com, knowing my team might not make it. when the results came out, we were almost there. just maybe, a little bit of effort, and perhaps my team may have gotten something.

on that year, following the end of the o levels, i was contacted by Edmund to help out in Com training for the juniors. i agreed.

it was during that training i thought of something.

'in where i had failed, my children shall succeed'

i may not had been a winner during Zone Com of my time. however, i know that whatever mistakes i, or my team did, we made sure that such mistakes does not repeat itself on my AC and NC teams.

i'm so thankful that NC and AC had won something for BGSJ. they have brought honour and glory to the corp.

however, no matter what, do not insult Bedok Green St. John. the NC team had worked hard in their footdrill. if the judges believe they deserved the marks for the footdrill demonstration, so be it.

seriously, zone com is over. there's always another year. and the zone com is supposed to bond us as one zone, not cause silly conflicts. we all are competing with each other so that we can learn from each other, and improve. that way, we can become a better zone.

BGSJ made history!

TUT-TUT-TOO-Tooooooo! *the final countdown tune*

hahaz. guess what?

on the 16 April '05, Bedok Green StJohns made history by scoring the first few trophies for BGSJ in Zone Competition!!!

they are:

Best Footdrill (NC)
Best CPR (AC)
Overall 3rd (AC)

wooha! the five months of hard work paid off :D

when Glenn had to pull out due to unforseen circumstances(get well soon, my man!), i honestly doubt AC would want to carry on. even if they did pull out, i would understand. AC had their share of storms and internal conflicts. and on that time, Glenn had to pull out.

Zi Ming decided to join back to the team. quite frankly, i was a bit angry about that. because he had decided not to continue, and then, he's back. but at the same time, looking at the circumstances, ZM was the perfect choice if we were to put someone into AC. so, ZM is part of the team. went blog-hopping, and got to know that ZM and the rest of AC came down early to train for a short while. wise decision guys!

i could sense the nervousness of my AC and NC team. they were facing something new, and they were up to one of the most challenging competitiors within zone level. nevertheless, they pressed on, and gave the competition their very best.

my congrats to NC team! you scored what you aimed for! haha =) and yeah, i didn't really helped you out in FA, or footdrill as a matter of fact. but you guys did it! shows that you have the ooomph to do it!

and to my AC team - wow! three trained members, one emergency sortie unit, and one hired gunman. haha. and still - you guys did it! amid the troubles, the stormy times, the difficulties, you guys pulled through and brought back trophies!

i only expected that maybe, there's an improvemnet in our progress, but not enough to score trophies. but you guys reached far and claimed trophies! and we are only on our second year of com participation! we're making progress! keep it up!

and yeah. i agree with Jasline. HAHA mrs. song! *i'm so bad :P* dun think BGSJ are not of good standards. muhahaha!

the trophies were a mark of achievement to the BGSJ, and a good morale boost to all. to me. haha.

so next day, i pulled myself to OTC. guess what? not bad... the day ended on a high note! everyone returned home in a good mood. not much yelling, i think everyone's more seasoned already.

hmmm... will write more. now lazy! hahaz.

something super-weird happened today.

i was dreaming that i was in those kiddie mazes. u noe? the one kids go through and explore, located in malls or something.

i was crawling in one of them. there was a part that i was supposed to jump down, when all of a sudden, hi-5 theme song came on. lol

so, i listened, and after it ended, i jumped down.

only to wake up on my elbows and knees on the floor right next to my bed. LOL!!!

and now my right shin hurts, cos it hit the metal leg of my computer chair. ouch!

man, that was nuts. i think i better be more careful in my dreams. especially if i decided to fly, and it involves me jumping off windows.

haha. i still remember my Neo dream. no, it's not the one i told you recently. haha.

poly check-up with wz, weird dream, and love

finally did my check-up for the poly thingy.

and guess who i saw?

i wonder how she tahan the cold man.

i cannot. i keep looking up, let my jaws go a-chitter, then look down again. haha.

it was damn anarctica inside the clinic. no lah, that's an exaggeration.

anyway, i was lucky wan zhen was there. otherwise i would have stoned myself to boredom. she's a great person to have a conversation with! haha.

now i just have to fill up the rest of the forms...

i had a weird dream last night.

i dreamt that i was part of a SJAB excursion or something, with several other schools... and then bedok green was with another school, and i was walking and i was looking and my sights landed on this girl and i had a crush on her or something. ROFL!

yeah, and she saw me. haha.

and if you really have to know, she's chinese. *like duh!*

um, inner voice? don't be so mean...

*like what the heck! i'm not gonna listen to you!* (but he shuts up anyway)

ok. she saw me. now, the rest is easy.

girl looks at boy. boy notices.

boy interested. boy talks to girl.

haha. then the dream gets complicated, when i became the fugitive cop Max Payne without his demented story, was fighting the Transformer Megatron in his Transmetal form, was digging in his(megatron's) factory for something, became Neo *again* and had flying powers (i was Neo when i stepped into the factory's toilet. go figure), but no kung-fu action... then blew up the factory after i scrapped megatron. lol!

then it gets weirder.

yeah i know. just when you thought the dream can be pretty weird as it is.

i was back at the scene in SJAB, with the girl, but the girl began to ignore me. lol!

so i was going after her, asking what's the entire matter about when the most 'fantastic' thing had to happen in the dream.

i woke up.

and there you have it - my weird dream. but i'm going to arrive to the point, but let me direct your attention first to Exhibit B.

sweet 'aint it? the realtionship between gabriel and ellie is finally coming to a firm stand with disputes frogotten, differences aside. and i'm sure ppl are going 'awww!...' haha.

i was watching that scene, where Gab was comforting ellie in the pet store. at that moment, i remembered about my dream. and i was recollecting on the not-so funny parts of the dream. if you catch my drift.

yeah. kinda makes you wonder when's it's your turn, you know?

i didn't go to Avril's concert... boohoo... :(

at the request of my good friend, hafiz :), i'm gonna do a brief update.

OTC - tomorrow's the fourth week. and a full day. hopefully won't get whacked...

SJAB - time to rekindle the Mercenaries fire. and thank you Aris, for dropping by on surprise visit!!!

speech day con, i'm proud of u guys! but remember, there is always room for improvement.

Alumni - full of nonsense lah basically. was sleeping most of the time. yes, sleeping. i'm too tired. what i noe, shamir, ibrizah, dianne, song xia, (and maybe others) were part of the committee. and some other ppl.

i do not want to be part of the committee. maybe help out, but other than that, no. i'm busy wif SJAB BGSS.

which reminds me...

will i be posted to BGSS after i pass out successfully from OTC? or will Fabian allow me to be there? i dunno, but i hope to be posted to BGSS. for obvious reasons. :D

Site - i'm intending to change this site soon. maybe create a whole new one from start, but HTML can be hard if you don't have a guide. The human kind.
